DESCRIPTION:Afifi Shriners \nDaffodil Grand Floral Parade 2026 \nSATURDAY\, APRIL 4TH\, 2026 \nPosition #25\nTACOMA SECTION \n \nTo offload your parade cars\, drive your support/tow vehicles to the Stellar Industrial Supply parking lot at 711 E 11th St\, Tacoma\, WA. \n \nStarting in Tacoma\, we will meet at 11th & St. Paul where we are to stage at our number (25). \n \nParade marshals will be there to guide you in. It will help to wear your fez or verbally identify that you are with Afifi Shriners and you are looking for position #25. \nThe parade departs for our section at approximately 0900 from the parking area\, which means it would be helpful to be lined up and ready to go at 0800 or earlier. \n \n  \n  \nPARADE ROUTE MAP \n \nThe parade traverses down Pacific Ave and cuts left onto 24th Ave. Parade marshals will guide your pickup vehicles between S 22nd and S 23rd St. Your vehicles MUST depart the parade staging area by 9:30 to get an effective place in the orange area of the map above. \nSTAGE YOUR SUPPORT VEHICLES AT THE END OF THE PARADE SO WE CAN DEPART FOR PUYALLUP! \n  \n  \n  \nDriving Directions to Tacoma: \n  \nFrom the South End – https://maps.app.goo.gl/1rv7QRjqkd1qmMVc9 \nFrom the North End- https://maps.app.goo.gl/F4NZ6wXRbzTWU5Tu7 \n  \nBasically\, get off at Exit #134 from I-5 and take Portland Ave E northward. Then make a left onto E 11th St and turn right into the Stellar Industrial Supply Parking lot. \nIf you are not offloading a vehicle\, head down 11th and join us at our staging area on St. Paul near marker 66. \n  \nFrom Tacoma’s final drop area\, we will then drive immediately to Puyallup. \nSupport vehicles will drop off at First Christian Church’s Parking Lot at \n623 9th Ave SW\, Puyallup\, WA \n  \nPUYALLUP SECTION \n \nDirections to Puyallup from Tacoma: \n  \n\nProceed south on S 24th St/Puyallup Avenue. Turn right on Portland Ave. – stay in\n\nmiddle lane to East 28th St. \n  \n2.Turn left on East 28th. Get in the right lane to Puyallup Exit (River Road/SR 767). \n  \n3.Go east on River Road several miles to Puyallup. NOTE: Floats are escorted in the left \ntraffic lane with width overflowing into the two-way turn lane. This allows traffic to pass the floats freely on the right. \n  \n4.Turn right prior to the Toyota dealership onto 15th Street NW \n  \n5.At the end of 15th Street\, turn left onto West Stewart Avenue. \n  \n6.Turn right and cross the railroad tracks at 12th St NW (school bus garage). Turn right onto West Pioneer Avenue at Maplewood Elementary. \n  \n7.One block later\, turn left onto 13th St SW. \n  \n8.Turn left onto 7th Ave SW. A parade marshal will be on 7th Ave to direct your float and support vehicles. All parade entries will be lining up on 7th Ave. SW. \n  \nWe will find our number (66) and proceed to that area on 7th Ave. Parade Marshals will assist. \n  \nPARADE STARTS PROMPTLY AT 12:45 \nAfter completing the parade\, participants will walk south in front of Meeker Elementary \nSchool and then through Sparks Stadium parking lot back to the Support/Rider vehicles \nat First Christian Church. \n \nParade Marshals will be positioned to give specific exit instructions for parade vehicles \ngoing to Sumner. \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n  \nDirections to Sumner: \nSUMNER SECTION \nDirections from Puyallup to Sumner: \n\nExit the church parking lot and turn right.\n\n2.Turn right again on 9th St SW – heading north. \n3.Turn right on West Pioneer – heading east. \n4.Turn left on 5th St SW – heading north. \n5.Turn right on W Main Ave. \nOnce you are on West Main Avenue\, park your support and royalty vehicles at the right \ncurb. Floats will be passing you on the left. Parade marshals are there to help. When your \nfloat arrives; they will stop at the left curb of West Main Ave just long enough for \npassengers to disembark. \n  \n  \nSupport Vehicles follow these directions: \n\nSumner – Turn right on Thompson St and left on Station Lane (first left).\nTurn left on Station Lane and enter Train Station drop area.\nAfter dropping off your riders\, turn right on Academy St and park on side streets\n\nnear Valley Ave or continue to Valley Ave and turn left to the high school stadium \nparking lot just past Main St. \nPARADE STARTS AT 2:30PM \n \nWe will finish the Sumner Parade in the Fred Meyer parking lot\, where we will have a bit more time to get to the Orting Parade\, which starts at 5PM. \nORTING SECTION (OPTIONAL) \nFrom Sumner: \nAll Entries that are not Bands/Busses or Floats\, will turn Left into Sunset Chev stadium parking lot to be routed to Valley ave. and continue to Orting travelling South on 410. We will follow the Pink Route to stage in the correct direction. \n \nAll of our units will park in the Orting High School Parking lot where we will offload and begin staging on Van Scoyac and Bridge St (we will look for our Parade Number and be guided by Marshals). \nAfterwards\, we will depart our separate ways! \n \nWe hope you can attend all of these parades with us.
